website has been developed in response to demand for more information
about Doma Vaquera to be made available on the Internet, especially for
those that do not speak Spanish.
This noble Spanish art of horsemanship is practiced in many countries
around the world including, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Holland,
Italy, United States of America, Latin America and Great Britain.
We aim to further enthusiasm for this exciting and demanding sport by

Fantasia a la garrocha.
The garrocha is a long pole which
is still used today for controlling herds of cattle and testing bulls
whilst on horseback on working ranches in Spain.
It is also used in artistic displays of horsemanship to music. It
is a truly moving experience to see this equestrian artform performed
by the top riders in Spain who often achieve standing ovations with
cries of "Bravo! Bravo!" for the entertainment that they
provide.

Doma
Vaquera in Competition
Modern Doma Vaquera competitions provide a challenging test for both
the horse and rider. At advanced level, they are performed in a 60mx20m
arena, with explosive gallops from a standing start, skid stops, canter
pirouettes and spins are a few of the demands of these tests.

Having always loved horses but never really being inspired enough
